Adidas
As a media advertisement for the 2006 FIFA World Cup™, sportswear manufacturer Adidas designed two gigantic interactive multimedia globes equipped with the most advanced technology of that time.
IPSIS Acoustics adapted its LA 24-12 line arrays to meet the specific conditions applicable to this project. The speaker enclosures are made of 2 mm stainless steel to optimally withstand weather influences and use. The goal is to project sound in a predetermined area for the globes and minimize sonic pollution outside that area. In this way, Adidas reinforced its name as a sponsor of the event and conveyed its objective to its fans.
IPSIS is responsible for the total design of the sound system that works with built-in motion sensors and the visual system. This way, interested parties can be spotted within a certain radius, who are then informed or participate in games.
